iOS critical security update 16.6.1

Apple has released a critical security update 16.6.1 for iPhones and iPads. The update patches a bug that could allow a hacker to take over your device with no action on your part.

Due to the severity of this exploit, we are requesting users to update their iOS/iPadOS as soon as possible. 

The update should take less than 30 minutes to perform:

1. Open the iPhone Settings app
2. Select General
3. Select Software Update. The device should search for an update
4. Select  Download and Install. Note: your iPhone will not let you update unless you have a sufficient battery charge
5. Enter your device passcode to confirm the download and install 
6. The iPhone will download the update. Once the installation is ready, the device will automatically reboot to initiate the update. This will take 5-10 minutes.
